Alberta CARE plays a major role in the advancement of recycling and waste management strategies on behalf of its membership, an important, landfill goal of municipal Councils. A concern for Alberta municipalities is the ongoing changes to environmental legislation, which bring new challenges, however new challenges open the door for new opportunities. Alberta CARE has met some of those challenges and provided new opportunities for municipalities.
