Ray Juska is Manager for the Newell Regional Solid Waste Management Authority which operates a Regional Landfill and five transfer stations serving the residents of the County of Newell. While his background is Chemical Technology and environmental he has been employed in waste management since 1996 starting with sitting and design of the Newell Regional Landfill. Ray is Alberta Landfill Operator Certified as well as an instructor for the SWANA Landfill Operator Course.

While directly employed in waste transfer and disposal Ray is also committed to waste reduction and alternatives and as well is a Director of Alberta Care for the Newell Recycling Association and for the Southern Alberta Energy from Waste Association.
